Fort Stockton, Texas (June 13, 2022) - The Fort Stockton High School (FSHS) Girls Basketball program will host a basketball camp on June 15-17 at the Bill and Virginia Williams Special Events Center (SEC). Campers in the 5th through 9th grade are welcome to attend. The camp will take place from 1-4 p.m. on June 15-16. On Tuesday afternoon the JV Blue took on the Pecos Eagles. Bryan Encinas started on the mound for the Panthers and threw 6 complete innings. The Panthers found themselves in a hole early trailing 3-0 after the 3rd inning. The Panther's defense kept the game within reach. In the bottom of the 5th inning, Fort Stockton found themselves trailing 6-0. The Panthers gave themselves some life by scrapping across 3 runs. Heading into the bottom of the 6th inning the Panthers kept the Eagles to a 6-3 lead. The Panthers worked hard to get runners in scoring position but unfortunately fell short with a final score of 6-5. Joey Herrera went 3-3 with 1 RBI and Jorrell Tapp went 1-2 at the plate. The JV Blue will host Monahans on Friday at 4 PM. ...

The JV white traveled to Pecos to split the doubleheader against the Eagles. The first game was a nail-biter as Reyes kept the Eagles to only 6 runs. The Panthers trailing throughout most of the game put together a couple of hits to bring the score 4-6. Gamma Corral, Evian Acosta, Johndrey Reyes, Kayden Galvan, and Kale Rojero all put hits and runs together, but the Panthers will not have enough runs to win the first game and the final score will stay at 4-6. The Panthers continued their doubleheader with the second game and continued to put their bats to work to conquer the Eagles with a 17-5 Win. A great pitching show by Ayden Villarreal, at the plate Alonso Galindo had 2 RBIs which brought in Andres Sotelo and Kayden Galvan. Kael Rojero, Jayden Ramirez, Johndrey Reyes, Kayden Galvan, Alonso Galindo, Ayden Villarreal, Jose Sarabia, Andres Sotelo, and Fabian Silva all had contributing RBI's. The Panthers had a great game which led them to victory. The final game of the season for the JV white ended with a victory and it was a great season with a winning record, The Panthers look to improve for next year and plan to continue their hard work on the diamond next season....

The JV Blue Baseball team traveled to Seminole to conclude the first round of district play. The Panthers jumped to a 1-0 lead in the top of the first off an RBI single by Josiah Trejo. Divani Palacios got the start for the Panthers on the mound and was able to throw 4 plus innings. After 4 complete innings, the Panthers found themselves down 4-1. Gamma Corral entered the game at pitcher and allowed Panther defense to keep the game within reach. Fort Stockton transferred that momentum to the offensive side and tied the game at 4 a piece. Bryan Encinas and Kael Rojero both recorded RBIs in the Panthers rally. In the top of the 7th inning, the Panthers found themselves down 6-4. The Panthers fought hard to get base runners on and in scoring position. Darian Renteria sent the game into extra innings off a sacrifice fly which tied the game at 6 all. Very well and hard-fought game for the Panthers, but unfortunately, they fall just short to Seminole in the bottom of the 9th with a final score of 7-6. The Panthers competed very hard and will be back at home on Friday where they will play Greenwood....

On Friday the Panthers traveled to Monahans for their 4th district game. Johndrey Reyes started on the mound for the Panthers striking out 4 batters through 3 and 1/3 innings. The Panthers struck first making it a 4-0 ballgame in the top of the 2nd inning. Monahans answered back and eventually took a 9-5 lead after 3 complete innings. Bryan Encinas came into to close the game on the mound. The Panthers showed a lot of fight but unfortunately came up short with a final score of 9-7. Joey Herrera went 3-4 and scored 3 runs, Zhane Natividad had 3 RBIs, and Abrian Natividad had 2 RBIs. The JV Blue will be back in action on Monday at Seminole. The Panthers fall to 1-3 in district play. ...
