The JV Blue Baseball team traveled to Seminole to conclude the first round of district play. The Panthers jumped to a 1-0 lead in the top of the first off an RBI single by Josiah Trejo. Divani Palacios got the start for the Panthers on the mound and was able to throw 4 plus innings. After 4 complete innings, the Panthers found themselves down 4-1. Gamma Corral entered the game at pitcher and allowed Panther defense to keep the game within reach. Fort Stockton transferred that momentum to the offensive side and tied the game at 4 a piece. Bryan Encinas and Kael Rojero both recorded RBIs in the Panthers rally. In the top of the 7th inning, the Panthers found themselves down 6-4. The Panthers fought hard to get base runners on and in scoring position. Darian Renteria sent the game into extra innings off a sacrifice fly which tied the game at 6 all. Very well and hard-fought game for the Panthers, but unfortunately, they fall just short to Seminole in the bottom of the 9th with a final score of 7-6. The Panthers competed very hard and will be back at home on Friday where they will play Greenwood.
