Panthers Blue Team defeated the chiefs 22-16 in a hard fought battle. Daren Ureste scored first for the Panthers and Jordan Franco added 2 point conversion. The game went back and forth by both teams until Jordan Franco intercepted a pass and ran it 44 yards for the pick 6 with Pedro Gonzalez adding 2 points. This made the score 16-0 at the end of the 3rd. In the 4th the chiefs stop the Panthers on the 2 yard line and after a couple of series the chiefs made it into the end zone making the score 16-8. on the next kick off Daren Ureste returned the ball to the 4 yard with Joe Dominguez running it in for the touch down and the 2 point play failed 22-8. The chiefs returned the kick off back for a touch down and 2 point play making it 22-16. the Panthers hung on and won 22-16 with some good defense. Next game Thursday 26th verses Pecos here at home. The Panthers White Team played hard and came up a little short losing 0-6. The offense for the white team spent most of the night on the field, but was not able to get any points on the board. Tyler Olthof and Alfredo Molina had many of the carries during the game. The young panthers were able to complete a 28 toss pass late in the game to give them a chance to score, but came up short. Ayden Adame throw the ball to Istevan Pacheco for a 35 yard completion. The boys played hard and are excited to play the next game on Thursday 26th verses Lakeveiw in San Angelo.
