FRESHMAN BLUE DEFEATED EAGLES 24-12

The young Panthers defeated the Eagles 24-12. Isaiah Garcia scored first for the Panthers with Cruz Rojas adding the points after giving the early lead to the Panthers. The Eagles fought back scoring next after a long pass to the 6 yard line, soon after scoring but failed on the 2 point play making the score at half a close one 8-6. Pecos scored next giving them the lead at 8-12. Felipe Sotelo intercepted a pass to set up another score. Isaiah Garcia scored again in the 3rd with Joe Dominguez adding points after, making it 16-12. In the 4th after a great kick off from Cruz Rojas penned the Eagles on the 1 yard line. This is when the defense stood there ground causing the Eagles to fumble and Zane Hodges scooped up the ball and ran 18 yards for the touchdown and Everardo Sandoval added 2 points. Defense played great at the end to wrap it up for the victory 24-12. record 4-1, next game Thursday October 3 at Snyder.
