SANDERSON, TEXAS (Dec. 13, 2019)- The Prowler freshmen girls basketball team are competing in the Sanderson Tournament Friday, Dec. 13- Saturday, Dec. 14.
In the opening round of the tournament, the Prowlers faced and defeated Comstock 37-22. Leading the scoring in game one was Keanna Torres with 11 points, Kat Mendoza with eight and Ariel Smith with six.
The second game against Balmorhea proved to be a tough test for the Prowlers. The freshmen fell to the Lady Bears 11-46. Nayeli Ramos was the leading scorer with three points.
Up next for the freshmen girls basketball team is a 9:30 a.m. game in the loser’s bracket. The Prowlers will face the winner of the game between the Prowler JV team and Balmorhea.
