SANDERSON, TEXAS (Dec. 14, 2019)- The Fort Stockton Prowler freshmen girls basketball team competed in day two of the Sanderson Tournament.
In game one, the Prowlers faced and fell to Sanderson 27-40. Leading scorers included Ariel Smith with 12 points and Keanna Torres with eight.
The loss to Sanderson put the Prowlers in the consolation game to play against Comstock. Scoring efforts in the 31-17 victory were led by Yvette Lopez with 15 points. Ariel Smith and Adree Bueno each contributed five points.
The Prowler basketball program will now look ahead to their game on Tuesday, Dec. 17 against Lamesa. Game times at Fort Stockton High School are as follows: JV at 4:30 p.m., varsity at 6 p.m. and freshmen at 7:30 p.m.
