The Fort Stockton Panthers Freshman Blue team took on Pecos on Friday, January 17th and were defeated 44-37. The Panthers leading scorer was Isaiah Garcia with 15 points. Johan Mireles and Ethan Acosta had strong games as well, playing a lot of minutes and both finishing with double digit points.
The Fort Stockton Panthers JV team played Pecos on Friday, January 17th and lost in the final seconds 28-26. Elias Sanchez led the team with 12 points and played well defensively.
The Fort Stockton Panthers Varsity opened up district on Friday, January 17th with a solid second half showing leading them to a 47-31 victory over Pecos. Colby Garrison had a strong offensive performance, leading the team with 15 points. Christian Mireles had a strong game as well, scoring 9 points. The Panthers will hit the road on Tuesday to face off against Andrews for a 7:30 tip off.
