The Panthers Powerlifting team traveled to Alpine to compete in the Alpine Powerlifting Invitational. The panthers fell short of bringing home the gold to Andrews by three points. All the hard work being put in by the team is really coming to light! Individual placers for the panthers were;
In the 114 pound weight class freshman Adrian Valdez placed forth with a combine total of 450 pounds,
In the 132 pound weight class sophomore Cristian Garcia took home his second straight gold with a combine total of 795 pounds,
In the 148 pound weight class sophomore Bryan Lee Rivera placed second with a combine total of 835 pounds,
In the 165 pound weight class senior Gabe Calzada placed third with a combine total of 1065 pounds,
Also in the 165 pound weight class junior Ronnie Romero place fourth with a combine total of 980 pounds,
In the 181 pound weight class senior Clayton Foster placed first with a combine total of 1100 pounds,
In the 181 pound weight class junior Michael Ortega placed third with a combine total of 955 pounds,
In the 181 pound weight class freshman Jovany Hernandez placed 5th with a combine total of 850 pounds,
In the 220 pound weight class junior Edgar Flores placed first with a combine total of 1205 pounds,
In the 242 pound weight class senior Donnie De La Cruz placed third with a combine total of 1160 pounds,
In the 242 pound weight class junior Cade Bayer placed fourth with a combine total of 975 pounds,
In the 275 pound weight class freshman Jose Ramirez placed fifth with a combine total of 830 pounds,
In the Super Heavy Weight class senior JT Gomez placed second with a combine total of 1280 pounds,
And also in the Super Heavy Weight class sophomore Luis Mendoza placed third with a total of 1015 pounds.
