FORT STOCKTON, TEXAS (Jan. 24, 2020)— The Prowlers defeated the Monahans Lady Loboes tonight at the SEC in Fort Stockton. The final score was 56-36. It was a game the Prowlers controlled from start to finish. The Prowlers opened the game outscoring Monahans 18-8 and never looked back.
Katie Salmon, 18 points, and Rebecca Rodriguez, 14 points, were focused and dominant the whole game. Alyana Dominguez was excellent adding 12 points and multiple rebounds. Alexis Holmquist, 6 points, and Jocelyn Lujan, 5 points, continue to play at a high level. Holmquist is a physical presence inside both rebounding and blocking shots. Lujan has become a defensive force and her passing continues to be a huge asset to the team.
The Prowlers’ record now moves to 3-1 in district play and 13-14 overall. Records around the district are as follows: Seminole 4-0, Fort Stockton 3-1, Andrews 2-2, Monahans 1-3 and Pecos 0-4.
The Prowlers will host the Rankin Lady Red Devils on Tuesay, Jan. 28 at 5 p.m. in the SEC.
