LEVELLAND, TEXAS (Feb. 20, 2020)— The Prowlers traveled to Levelland, Texas tonight to and fell to #1 Canyon High School 13-92. The Prowlers took an early lead of 3-2 with a 3-pointer from senior Rebecca Rodriguez. After taking the lead, the Prowlers struggled to score without catching a rhythm the rest of the night. The team played valiantly and never quit.
Although the Prowlers’ season ended early, this does not define their extraordinary achievements this season. The Prowlers ended the 2019-2020 season with a winning record of 18-16, a district record of 6-2 and as bi-district champions.

The team, coaches and fans would like to recognize seniors Katie Salmon, Rebecca Rodriguez, Jocelyn Lujan, Dania Mendoza and Alexi Rivera once again. These young ladies, along with the rest of the team, logged hours of work for the last four years to perfect their craft. They leave huge shoes to fill for the underclassmen, but they’ve laid out the blueprint for the underclassmen after having had three years of playoff runs. Each year they’ve built on the previous years’ success. The Prowler Basketball Program thanks these seniors for everything that they have done and continue to do. We, the basketball program, wish them the best of luck in their future endeavors.

Scoring: Rebecca Rodriguez- 5 points, Katie Salmon- 3 points, Alyana Dominguez- 2 points, and Alexis Holmquist- 2 points.
