VARSITY BASEBALL SEASON OPENER

The Fort Stockton Panthers Varsity opened up their season last night against Presidio with a 10 to 2 win. AJ Garcia started off the top of the 1st with a base hit to left field. Following the hit, Garcia stole 2nd and advanced to 3rd on an error. Later Garica scored on a passed ball. Garcia led the team with two stolen bases. Offensively for the Panthers they collected 9 hits and were led by Gabe Calzada, Izaiah Lujan, and Daren Ureste who all collected 2 hits each. Defensively Jamie Natividad started the game on the mound for the Panthers. Natividad had a solid outing where he went 4 strong innings with 3 strikeouts and only allowed 2 hits. The Panther's next game will be at home on 2/27/20 at 7:00 pm against San Elizario.
