FORT STOCKTON JV BLUE

JV Blue hosted the Alpine Bucks for the JV home opener on Thursday evening. The Panthers came out on fire with returning the opening kickoff for a touchdown. With a successful two point conversion the Panthers went up  8-0. Solid play on offense and defense the rest of the first half helped the panthers take a 16-0 lead going into half time. It was the same story the second half, with the freshmen Corbin Luna and Isiah Velasquez having strong offensive performances. Pedro Gonzales was all over the field making plays on both sides of the football with a season high two touchdowns. Anchored by Dom Bernal and Jordan Franco, the defense for the JV Blue set the tone the whole game by not allowing an offensive score. The final score was 30-8 in favor of JV Blue. JV Blue will be open next week with the next game being September 17th at home against Monahans. 7pm Kickoff.
