JV GIRLS BASKETBALL BEAT DENVER CITY

Dear Media, This morning the JV Prowlers defeated Denver City 35-29. The JV team improves to 2-2 on the season. Leading offensive scorer was Freshman Priscilla Trevino with 11 points. Sophomore Kat Mendoza was second with 7 points scored. She also had a buzzer beater 3 point shot at the end of the third quarter. Junior Brianna Flores contributed 3 baskets to the offense. Freshman Amaya Urias also had 6 points. Defensively, Ivanna Ortiz, Elizabeth Bislar, and Janeth Benavides were outstanding. Us coaches are seeing lots of improvement from the girls. We are excited for our next game against Lamesa. The Prowlers travel to Lamesa on 11/17 for a non-district game. Tip off for JV is at 5pm.
