Prowler Basketball sub varsity squad loses close battle to Odessa High School

ODESSA, TEXAS (Dec. 1, 2020)- The Prowler Basketball program travelled to Odessa, Texas to take on Odessa High School in a non-district matchup. The freshman team could not withstand the the Lady Bronchos and lost 22-32.
Although it was a tough loss for the Prowlers, it over that the young squad is in fact getting better every single day. The team showed a great improvement from their first outing and the youngsters are poised to be right on track to compete come district time.
Leading the offense for the Prowlers was Liz Bislar with five points and Aryana Gonzalez with four points. The scoring was shared throughout the team with almost all Prowlers having the opportunity to add to their stats line.
Defensively, the Prowlers showed up. They were able to force turn overs, block shots and steal the ball. Aubrianna Whitecotton, Lexie Calderon, Krysten Zuniga and Aryana Gonzalez were solid defensive players in the loss.
The team will now look ahead to their next game. Sanderson will travel to Fort Stockton to take on the Prowlers on Friday, December 4 at 4:30 p.m. If you plan to attend the game, please ensure that you are following FSHS’ Covid guidelines and wearing a mask.
