The JV Blue Prowler Basketball team finally picks up another win after a losing streak. The girls out worked Big Spring 35-27. Freshman Amaya Urias was the leading scorer with 13 points. She also had 3 rebounds and 3 steals. Sophomore post Mayrene Bernal added 3 baskets, 4 rebounds, and 1 steal during the game. Junior Janeth Benavides really stepped up last night defensively with 4 steals and 1 basket. Sophomore Yadira Hernandez scored 6 points which is a season best tonight. She worked hard all night long.
Us coaches are proud of each girl as it takes a team to win.
The JV basketball girls will also travel to Sweetwater this Friday at 12/11. Game time is 6:00pm.
