SWEETWATER, TEXAS (Dec. 11, 2020)- With a quick schedule change, the Fort Stockton Prowlers headed to Sweetwater for an exciting matchup. The Prowlers started off the game excited and hungry for a win, but the Lady Mustangs had other plans. Fort Stockton’s victory slipped away with a score of 42-52 in favor of the home team.
The Prowlers continue to improve and make adjustments as they find their groove before starting district play. With a tough preseason slowly being placed under the young team’s belt, the program is excited to see what’s in store for the upcoming district play.
Junior standout Alyana Dominguez made her presence known by recording 13 points, 10 rebounds, 7 steals and 3 blocks. Sophomore Eliana Mata followed suit by adding 14 points. Sophomore Arial Smith added 6 points with 7 rebounds. Brianna Diaz helped the Prowlers with 4 assists and 4 steals. Elyana Calderon rounded out the Prowler’s threat with 4 rebounds.
The Prowlers will head to Del Rio on Saturday, Dec. 12 for another non-district bout. Additionally, the Prowlers will travel to San Angelo to take on San Angelo Lakeview on Monday, Dec. 14.
