The Varsity Prowler Basketball team finally came out with a win over the Del Rio Queens (42-33). The Prowlers trailed the first half 22-16. At the end of the 3rd quarter the Prowlers were up 27-26.
Junior Alyana Dominguez was the leading scorer with 22 points, 6 steals, and 13 rebounds. She was definitely a key asset to the team today. Sophomore Brianna Diaz added 9 points to the Prowler offense. Sophomore Lala Mata contributed 6 points to the offense and 4 rebounds. Freshman Sophie Hernandez also had 4 rebounds.
The Prowlers were in need of a win and accomplished that. We hope to continue that momentum into Monday. The Prowlers will be on the road Monday at Lake View. Tip off is at 7pm in San Angelo.
