The Fort Stockton Panthers Freshman basketball played Big Spring at home on Friday, December 18th. The Panthers played in a tight, back and forth game for four quarters, but fell short with a 45-43 loss. Josiah Trejo led the team with 10 points, while AJ Granado, and Corbin Luna finished with 7 points apiece. Isaiah Velasquez played solid minutes as well, with 6 points coming off the bench.
The Fort Stockton Panthers JV basketball tipped off against Big Spring at home on Friday, December 18th. The Panthers played much better than their last outing, but were not able to defeat the Steers in a 48-37 loss. Johan Mireles led the team with 9 points, two coming off three pointers. Marco Garcia finished with 8 points, and Aryan Hernandez played a well rounded game, finishing with 7.
The Fort Stockton Panthers Varsity basketball hosted the Big Spring Steers on Friday, December 18th. The Panthers were able to keep the game within reach for 3 quarters, but the Steers were ultimately too much in the last period. Devon Rodriguez led the Panthers with 23 points, with 12 of his points coming off three pointers. Christian Mireles and Ethan Acosta also finished in double digits, with 11 and 10 points respectively.
