FORT STOCKTON, TEXAS (Jan. 5, 2021)- Kicking off district play with a win, the sub varsity Prowler squad routed Monahans 25-16.
The Prowlers came out slow in the first half only recording 11 points to Monahans’ 9. At halftime, adjustments were made and the Prowlers shut down the Lady Lobos. In the second half of the game, the Prowlers scored 14 while the Lady Lobos were held to 7.
Jalynn Muniz led the offense with eight points. Aryanna Gonzalez added seven. Lexie Calderon scored five points and Estrella Aguilar added three.
“I am proud of these girls and how hard they have worked this season,” Coach Sera Ramirez stated. “These kids have bought into our coaching staff and our style of coaching, which makes it easy to earn district victories like tonight’s.”
Up next for the Prowlers is a district game on the road against Seminole. The Prowlers are looking to build off of this win and continue improving.
