The JV Prowlers basketball team hosted the Lady Mustangs from Andrews Tuesday in their last contest of the season. The Prowlers played a tough game but fell short 39-17.
Leading scorer was Mayrene Bernal with 5 points. Yvette Lopez added 4. Ivanna Ortiz put in 3 points. Keanna Torres and Jahel Encinas both added 2 points. Kat Mendoza rounded out the scoring with 1 point.
The Prowlers were plagued by injuries all season which hindered their cohesiveness on the court. But individually, each girl improved greatly from the beginning of the season. It was a pleasure coaching this group of young ladies.
