FIRST DISTRICT WIN FOR SOFTBALL SUB VARSITY

The Sub Varsity Prowlers picks up their first district win tonight against Greenwood. First inning, we started off slow losing 0-1. Second, third, and fourth innings we picked up our offense and scored a total of 6 runs. In the last inning Greenwood answered back with 3 runs. The game ended with a win 6-4.

Freshman Sabrina Cook got the win in the circle tonight. She pitched an outstanding game. She had numerous strikeouts and defensive plays.

Freshman Sophie Hernandez was behind the plate. She threw some runners out on the base paths. At the plate, she had a couple RBI’s and a strong plate appearance.

Junior Tori Wilkins hit a double off the centerfield wall which scored 2 runs.

Junior Yanet Rodriguez added 2 hits and scored runs.

Junior Kassidy Montanez played good defense at 3rd base and contributed at the plate with hits and runs.

Sophomore Arissa Gonzalez found herself on base tonight as well.

Freshman Amaya Urias had a double and reached on an error. She played a good second base as well.

The Prowlers Program travels to Andrews this Friday to face the Lady Mustangs. Sub varsity will follow immediately after the Varsity (5pm start time for Varsity)
