Panthers opened the 2021 season with a scrimmage at El Paso Austin on Friday. After a slow start the Panthers really played well and got a very good evaluation of the progress and the areas of improvement needed for the upcoming season.
In the controlled part of the scrimmage the Panthers out scored the Austin Panthers 4 scores to 3. Scoring summary in this section of play was 70yd run by Isaiah Velasquez, 6 yd run by Shane Velasquez, 8 yd pass from Dominic Aguilar to Zane Hodges, and 10 yd pass from Dominic Aguilar to Corbin Luna.
In the live quarter of the scrimmage the Panthers finished up 1 score to zero on a 67 yd run by Aguilar.

Fort Stockton will wrap up their scrimmages this week with the sub-varsity teams traveling to Greenwood on Thursday and the Varsity making the haul to Del Rio on Friday.
