9TH GRADE FORT STOCKTON BEATS KERMIT JV

The Fort Stockton Panthers freshman football team welcomed the Kermit Yellow Jackets to Panther Stadium and routed them 22-0. The young Panthers played lights out on defense not allowing a single score and giving up only three first down all game. Fabian Silva sparked the defense with a big hit forcing a fumble and scooping and scoring from 45 yards out. The two point conversion was no good. Also defensively for the Panthers Zhane Natividad had a big pick getting the crowd excited. Offensively the Panthers were strong on the running attack controlling the clock and running up and down the field only having to punt one time all night. Kaiden Galvan had the opening score of the night on an aggressive 22 yard run. He followed up that impressive run with the two point conversion. Also offensively Fabian Silva took a fourth down reverse and went 14 yards for a Panther touchdown. Zhane Natividad followed up the score with a two point conversion run. The Panthers are extremely energized to get their first of the season and look forwards to continuing the streak next week against El Paso Horizon in El Paso.
