Odessa, Texas (Sept. 7, 2021)- The Fort Stockton Volleyball program traveled to Odessa High School (OHS) to take on Head Coach Gabrielle Harral’s alma mater. Although, Coach Harral hadn’t set foot on the OHS court since her days as a Lady Broncho, but her most recent trip was definitely one to boast about.

Fort Stockton’s JV Volleyball team upended Odessa High School 20-25, 25-13 and 25-20.

The JV squad had seen the Lady Bronchos previously in the season at the Monahans Tournament and defeated them. This meeting was no different, with the Prowlers combining for a season high 52 digs and 25 kills across the three sets.

Junior JazLynn Pacheco used her athleticism to be the all-around spark the Prowlers needed on the court. Junior Arissa Gonzalez added some much needed communication and defensive expertise at the Liberian position.

Freshman Mia Garcia continued to flourish adding a season-high 20 assists to her ever growing stat line. Juniors Angie Aguirre and Katheryn Mendoza were huge at the net tonight adding key blocks to alleviate some of the defensive efforts within the back row.

Coach Sera Ramirez stated, “These student-athletes make me proud every day. Coaching them is a joy. They’re slowly, but surely buying into the new program dynamic. I’m excited to see what the future has in store for our Prowler Volleyball program.”

The Prowlers will be back in action on Friday. Prowler Volleyball will head to Crane for another non-district matchup. Game times are scheduled for 4 p.m. / 4 p.m. / 5 p.m.
