Fort Stockton’s sub-varsity volleyball squads traveled 30 miles north of town to take on Buena Vista High School.
The JV team defeated the Lady Longhorns in straight sets 25-17 and 25-19. Led by a junior heavy squad, the Prowlers showcased their versatility on the court.
Freshman Aubrie Salgado quarterbacked the offensive efforts tallying 10 assists, 4 digs and 1 ace. Juniors Jazlyn Pacheco and Angie Aguirre recorded 3 kills each. Defensive standouts include Junior Melissa Villarreal, Junior Arissa Gonzales and Sophomore Liz Bislar all with 5 digs apiece.
The Prowler Volleyball teams will head to Wink on Tuesday, August 24 for a showing of all 3 teams. Game times are at 4 p.m., 5 p.m. and 6 p.m.
