Denver City, Texas (Aug. 17, 2021)-- The Prowlers defeated Denver City in straight sets 25-19 and 25-21. This was a tremendous showing for the Prowlers. Across the statistics lines, it was a group effort to defeat the Fillies in straight sets.
Junior Jazlynn Pacheco led the defensive charge with 8 digs, 3 aces and 2 assists. Offensively the Prowlers showed a great deal of improvement with the Prowlers recording a season high 21 kills.
Standouts at the net included Ashlyn Marquez, Jacinda Gonzalez, Angie Aguirre, and Katheryn Mendoza. Freshman Mia Garcia stepped into her staring position with ease adding 15 assists, 2 aces and 1 block for the Prowlers.
The JV and Freshman teams will be back in action in Imperial, Texas on Friday, August 20. The Prowlers will take on the Buena Vista Longhorns at 4 p.m. and 5 p.m.
