Odessa, Texas (Aug. 10, 2021)-- The Fort Stockton Prowlers traveled to Odessa to take on Palo Duro (Amarillo) and host Odessa Permian in a dual match. The eager Prowler teams were ready to take on stiff competition to see where their skill set needed to be fine-tuned.
Fort Stockton's Freshman team beat Palo Duro 25-13 and 25-9. The Prowlers lost to Odessa Permian in a nail bitter three sets: Win 25-15, Lost 23-25, Lost 24-26. The Freshman worked extremely hard and battled!
The JV team defeated Palo Duro 25-23 and 25-21. The junior led squad was able to showcase their offensive talents with the help of Freshman setters Mia Garcia and Aubri Salgado. The JV team fell to Odessa Permian 25-15 and 25-9. It was a tough loss, but the Prowlers were able to take the sets as a learning lesson. It is back to the drawing board for the Prowlers, so they can tune their skills and be ready for upcoming non-district play.
Varsity beat Palo Duro: 25-22, 25-23, 25-16 and lost to Odessa Permian 25-15, 25-17, 25-23.
