The JV squad defeated Crane in two sets with scores of 25-13 and 25-14. Although this game was a non-district contest, the Prowlers came out and showed upcoming district opponents that they shouldn’t be taken lightly.

Junior JazLynn Pacheco was the offensive power in tonight’s victory with 4 kills. Junior Katheryn Mendoza and Freshman Mia Garcia each tallied 2. Garcia added 4 assists and Freshman Adamari Renteria added 3.

The statistic lines seem short lived, but that’s due to the service dominance of the Prowlers. Serving tough earned the Prowlers 7 straight points in one game and 5 straight points in another.

Coach Sera Ramirez stated, “The athletes work hard day in and day out. All of the moving pieces are finally starting to come together. I’m proud of these kids and how far they’ve come from day one of practice. We only have a few games left until we kick off district play, but I know we will be ready.”

The freshman team defeated Crane 25-18 in set one, lost game two 23-25 and won game three 15-8. Standouts for the nail-biting game include Elina Montes with 5 aces and served 10 points for the Prowlers. Alhana Flores added 1 kill, 4 aces , and 6 served points in the victory.
