Fort Stockton, Texas (Sept. 14, 2021)-- The Fort Stockton Prowler JV Volleyball kept their winning streak rolling at home on Tuesday night. A pair of close sets extended the team's win streak with scores of 25-17 and 25-20.
"The JV team has a great core of juniors who have helped to guide the underclassmen into their roles within the program. Tonight's game showed us a few things that we need to work on in practice, but I am sure that we will be ready to go when district rolls around, " Coach Sera Ramirez stated.
Freshman Mia Garcia added another multi-stat game recording: 10 assists, 5 aces, 4 kills and 3 digs. Junior JazLynn Pacheco added 6 kills and 4 digs. Junior Ashlyn Marquez added 4 kills, Junior Angie Aguirre added 3 and Junior Katheryn Mendoza rounded out the offense with 2 kills. Defensive standouts included Junior Defensive Specialist Melissa Villarreal with 7 digs, Junior Libero Arissa Gonzalez with 4 digs and Junior Defensive Specialist Liz Bislar with 4 digs.
All three teams will be back in action at the Bill and Virginia Williams Special Events Center (SEC) on Saturday, Sept. 18. Games are slated for 11 a.m./11 a.m./12 p.m.
