Fort Stockton beats Pecos

Pecos 9th grade came to town to play and was beat 14-6. The teams battled back and forth through most of the 1st quarter, then after a long drive headed up by a heavy dose of the run, Zhane Natividad scored on a 2 yard run with Ayden Villareal adding the PAT (point after touchdown). This put the Panthers up 7-0. The 2nd quarter was a lot like the 1st, back and forth until Pecos pushed it in for a touchdown and the Panthers stopped Pecos on the point after to put the score at halftime 7-6. The 3rd quarter was a lot of back and forth but in the 4th the running and passing game came alive for the Panthers. Panthers after a couple of big runs and a couple of big passes, Kyle Sellers had a big block that helped us to move inside of the 10 yard line and we came up short and turned the ball over on downs. The defense stepped up with a big play and caused Pecos to fumble and Evan Cordero scoped up the ball and scored from 8 yards out. Ayden Villareal added a PAT making the final score 14-6. next game here versus Alpine on Thursday Sept. 30 at 6:30. record 3-2.
