On Friday, October 1st, the Fort Stockton Panthers hosted the Crane Golden Cranes. Both teams entered the game with identical 4-1 records on the season and both are at the top of the area rankings. The game also matched two of the areas best quarterbacks in Dominic Aguilar from Fort Stockton and Jaxson Willis from Crane.
The game was all Fort Stockton from the outset. Aguilar scored on runs of 18 and 80 yards in the first quarter to give the Panthers an early 15-0 lead. Aguilar then found receiver, Isaiah Garcia, on a 67-yard touchdown throw for a touchdown. This was the start of a 23 point 2nd quarter that saw the Panthers take a 38-6 lead into the break.
After the half, Fort Stockton used one time-consuming drive to extend the lead to 44-8, a margin that would hold through the end of the final period of play.
Fort Stockton racked up 530 yards of total offense to just und 250 for the Cranes.
