JV Prowlers keep victory train rolling at Seminole

Seminole, Texas (Oct. 15, 2021)- The Prowlers traveled to Seminole for a matchup against the Maidens. After a hard fought game, the Prowlers came out victorious. Scores from the game include 25-23 and 25-20.

Quarterbacking the offense were Freshman Adamari Renteria and Mia Garcia with 16 assists each. Garcia also recorded 4 kills, 1 ace and 1 dig.

Junior Katheryn Mendoza showed up and showed out with 9 kills in the victory. Junior Jazlyn Pacheco and Freshman Abriel Villarreal recorded 6 kills. Junior Ashlyn Marquez tallied 5 kills, while Junior Leilani Enriquez added 4. Junior Angie Aguirre had a big presence at the net with 3 kills and 3 blocks. Junior Jacinda Gonzalez had 2 kills and 1 ace. Junior Melissa Villarreal recorded 2 kills, 2 digs and 1 assist. Junior Arissa Gonzalez rounded out the night with 5 assists and 4 digs.

Coach Ramirez stated, “The Prowlers are finally playing team volleyball. It’s been a rollercoaster, but we are on the come up. I’m hoping that we can finish this season on a high note and keep this victory train rolling.”

The Prowlers will be back in action on Tuesday at the Bill and Virginia Williams Special Events Center (SEC). Fort Stockton will play host to district opponent Greenwood High School.
