PROWLER VARSITY SQUAD UPENDS DENVER CITY 42-29

The Prowlers varsity basketball team used defense and fast break baskets to overcome a first half deficit to defeat the Denver City Fillies 42-29 at the Denver City arena Tuesday night. Alyana Dominguez led the scoring with 13 points, followed by Eliana Mata and Sophie Hernandez with 10 points each. Defensive steals were garnered by Mata, Dominguez, Alexia Galindo, and Hernandez. Rebound leader was Hernandez with 14 boards. Other scorers were Amaya Urias 3, Galindo , Nayeli Ramos 2, and Ivanna Ortiz 1. Prowlers face Lamesa November 16 in their first home game of the season.
