Fort Stockton, Texas (Nov. 16, 2021)- Fort Stockton played host to their first home game of the season when the Lamesa Golden Tornadoes came to town. With no time left on the clock, Sophomore Melena Ramirez was fouled and made one-of-two free throws. The JV team defeated their opponent 40-39.

The Prowlers played tremendous defense in tonight’s game, but they were still unable to capitalize on their uncontested shots. A few offensive miscues placed Lamesa into the lead, but the tough-nosed Prowlers were able to rely on their conditioning to earn them a victory.

Scoring for the win included: Yadira Hernandez 8 points, Priscilla Trevino 6 points, Estrella Aguilar 6 points, Dmya Vaughn 5 points, Kat Mendoza 5 points, Mayrene Bernal 3 points, Yvette Lopez 2 points, Janean Gonzalez 2 points, Aubrey Jones 2 points, and Melena Ramirez 1 point.

Prowler Basketball will head to Midland to take on Midland Christian on Saturday, Nov. 20. JV will take the court at 12 p.m. and Varsity is set to tip off at 1:30 p.m.
