The Varsity Prowlers played their first home game of the season and captured a victory over the Lamesa Girls by a score of 55-31. After a slow first half, the Prowlers used a stingy and active Team defense to create many turnovers that lead to numerous scoring possessions in the second half of the game! The prowlers were also able to execute on offense to outscore the Lamesa team 39-20 in the second half. The prowlers were led in scoring by Alyana Dominguez, whose 23 pts were a career best! Also in the scoring column were Sophie Hernandez with 9, Mia Garcia and Melissa Villarreal with 6 points each, Eliana Mata had 5 points, Amaya Urias 4 points, and Ivanna Ortiz 2 points. The prowler defense had 18 steals as a team on the night. Their all around hustle was great in the second consecutive win as the team improved each game. The Prowlers will travel to Midland Christian on Saturday, November 20, with a 1:30 tip-off.
