Midland, Texas (Nov. 20, 2021)- In a rematch of the Fort Stockton Sub Varsity Girls Basketball Tournament, the JV Blue Prowler squad took on Midland Christian. The Prowlers proved that they were the better team by defeating the Lady Mustangs 34-24.
Coach Sera Ramirez stated, “The Prowlers came out and showed that they shouldn’t be counted out. The girls played well together and have grown since the first day of practice. We have to get better at making shots and letting the offense work. Overall, great Prowler win!”
Scoring for the game is as follows: Priscilla Trevino 11 points, Yvette Lopez 9 points, Dmya Vaughn 3 points, Janean Gonzalez 3 points, Mayrene Bernal 2 points, Melena Ramirez 2 points, Kat Mendoza 2 points and Yadira Hernandez 2 points.
Next up is a game against Presidio on Monday, Nov. 22. Fort Stockton will take the court inside of the Bill and Virginia Williams Special Events Center (SEC) at 11 a.m. and 12:30 p.m.
