VARSITY PROWLERS OUTLAST PRESIDIO IN VICTORY

The varsity Prowlers Basketball team outlasted Presidio in today's game for a 42-30 victory. Keys to today's win were great transition fast break Basketball and timely defensive stops. Sophomores Amaya Urias and Sophie Hernandez ruled the boards with 10 and 9 rebounds respectively. Hernandez also led team with 5 steals. Eliana Mata and Alyana Dominguez hit big baskets to extend the Prowlers lead starting the fourth quarter, and scored 13 points each for the game. Sophie Hernandez had 8 points ,followed by 4 points each from Mia Garcia and Amaya Urias. Nayeli Ramos had 1 point to round out the Prowlers scoring. Coach Chew commended his team on how well they have fought off comebacks in the last two games and finished strong in their victories. Coach Chew stated: "Its showing toughness, when things don't go your way at different moments in the game"., Prowlers will take on El Paso Jefferson in their next game at the Lamesa Tournament.
