VARSITY PROWLERS SQUAD DEFEATS SAN ANGELO LAKE VIEW

The Varsity Prowlers Basketball team outlasted the Lake View Maidens to take a 46-32 victory over the visiting Maidens. The Prowlers took a 26-18 lead at halftime and never relinquished it during the second half. Lake View pulled within 8 points, but the Prowlers used several defensive stops and key baskets to coast to a non-district win tonight. Coach Chew:"I was really impressed with how our girls made the plays we needed to make at the right time, to secure our victory tonight." "Tonight we really took care of the basketball and limited our turnovers to a season low." "Great teamwork tonight on defense and offense!!." Alyana Dominguez led the Prowlers scoring with 18, followed by Mia Garcia with 9, Eliana Mata 7, Keanna Torres 5, Alexia Galindo 3,Arial Smith 2, and Amaya Urias 2. Urias also had 14 boards to lead the Prowlers. Dominguez and Galindo had 2 blocks a piece for the Prowlers defense. The Prowlers take the floor again this week on Friday at the Snyder Lady Tigers, 6:15 start time. Prowlers' season record improves to 8-6.
