Snyder, Texas (Dec. 18, 2021)- The Fort Stockton Prowlers traveled to Snyder to take on the Lady Tigers in a tough non-district matchup. The Prowlers were unable to subdue the offensive threat of the Lady Tigers and lost 28-43.
Turnovers proved to be costly through the game with the Prowlers recording 38 in the loss. The Prowlers tried to counteract their offensive struggles with 17 steals, but they were unable to capitalize on their excellent defensive strategies.
Rebounding made up for the offensive miscues. Yadira Hernandez led the charge in rebounds with 5 followed by Dmya Vaughn with 4. Estrella Aguilar and Katheryn Mendoza each added 3. Mayrene Bernal added 3 blocked shots in the loss, while Aubrey Jones added 1.
Offensive stats are as follows: Aguilar 9 points, Vaughn 8 points, Melena Ramirez 3 points, Priscilla Trevino 2 points, Bernal 2 points, Krysten Zuniga 2 points and Jaci Valenzuela 2 points.
The Prowlers will travel to Coahoma on Monday, Dec. 20 for JV and Varsity games. Game times are 1 p.m. and 2:30 p.m.
