FORT STOCKTON, TEXAS (Feb. 1, 2022)- The Prowler JV fell to the visiting Greenwood Rangerettes 23-59.
Scoring for the loss are as follows:
Yvette Lopez 17 points
Priscilla Trevino 2 points
Janean Gonzalez 2 points
Mayrene Bernal 2 points
Aubrey Jones recorded one block. Estrella Aguilar added two assists. Liz Bislar, Dmya Vaughn, and Yadira Hernandez each tallied one assist.
Rebounding efforts are as follows: Trevino with three, Bernal with three, Aguilar with three, Jones with two, and Hernandez with two.
Coach Sera Ramirez stated, "We have had a few rough outings, but that is what happens when we go through growing pains. We are trying to develop some standout freshmen, while also trying to prepare some of these upperclassmen for the varsity level. That is a funny situation, but these kids have stepped up to the plate in practice."
The Prowlers will look ahead to their final two games of the season. Fort Stockton will head to Andrews on Friday, Feb. 4 for a district matchup against the Andrews Lady Mustangs. Games are slated for 4:30 p.m., 6 p.m. and 7:30 p.m.
