The Fort Stockton Panthers lost a tough ballgame 11-10 in 9 innings at Denver City on Tuesday night. The Panthers trailed 8-1 early in the ballgame after two innings of play. The scored stayed that way until the top of the 6th inning when the the Panthers strung together 7 hits and scored 8 runs to go up 9-8. Denver City tied the game at 9 in the bottom of the 7th and the game went into extra innings. Neither team scored in the 8th inning but the Panthers plated across 1 run in the top of the 9th to go up 10-9. Denver City plated 2 runs in the bottom of the 9th off a Panther error to end the game.
The Panthers fall to 5-1 on the young season and will next see action on Thursday vs San Antonio Southwest Legacy at 6 pm in the San Antonio Southwest ISD Tournament which takes place March 3-5.
